A lot of people put off discharging their debts because of the emotional struggle of filing for personal bankruptcy.

The only way to deal with it and move forward and not let it take over, is to face it emotionally. Deal with any feelings of shame or guilt or embarrassment that you may have. Seeing a counselor would be a great idea and is a way to really talk about all the things you're feeling as you go through the process to get your finances back in order and truly move on.


There is no way to run away from what has happened, this is your life. Face it, embrace it, so that it doesn't become your whole life.

The more you know about your financial situation the better off you'll be. Learn more about credit after bankruptcy so eventually you can look into what your life will be like and things like home renting after bankruptcy or buying a home or car.
